- We've got GOTS!
We have switched to using GOTS certified organic cotton yarn. The Quintet is our first collection with GOTS products.
GOTS, or Global Organic Textile Standard, is the world's leading textile processing standard for organic fibres.
The Textile Exchange (formerly known as the Organic Exchange) is a non-profit organization that operates internationally and is committed to "the responsible expansion of sustainable textiles across the global textile value chain". The Exchange is "a strong supporter" of GOTS and "[encourages] all companies to strive to have their products meet this important standard". Read about this here.
- Modal makes its first appearance
We're pleased to introduce Modal-based products to our customers. Check out The Khone Special and The Khone Shorty from The Quintet's Water Series!
Modal is great for you. It's one of the softest fabrics in the world. And its colour brilliance remains unchanged even after repeated washings.
Modal is also great for the environment. It's made from wood, which means it's renewable and biodegradable. Find out more about the "greenness" of Modal here.
All our Modal comes from Austria's Lenzing Group. For more information about Modal, visit this page.
- A greener eco-box
Our eco box just got greener. That's because we're now using FSC certified paper for it.
The FSC, or Forest Stewardship Council, is a globally trusted organization that promotes responsible forest management (e.g. appropriate harvesting rates and techniques, non-chemical methods of pest management, etc.). The forests are a vital part of the environment and must be well taken care of.
Many independent individuals and organizations - Greenpeace, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and renowned environmentalist Jared Diamond, among them - have endorsed the FSC. Read all about it here.
